Kellymoss, seasoned championship Porsche racing team, welcomes Michael McCann, Jr., to our Porsche Carrera Cup North America (PCCNA) lineup for the remainder of the 2024 season. McCann currently holds the ninth place position in the championship standings for the series.
McCann is an experienced professional driver and has always been formidable on track. By aligning with Kellymoss for the remainder of the season, he leverages expanded resources and the deep Porsche 992 knowledge and expertise required to fully realize his racing potential.
"One primary differentiator for a driver considering our team is the volume of data available to parse. This will be very helpful to Michael," said Andy Kilcoyne, CEO and co-owner of Kellymoss. With the addition of Michael, Kellymoss currently fields an impressive 9-car effort in Porsche Carrera Cup North America, offering opportunities to benchmark against the very best in the sport, along with solid coaching and mentoring resources.
“The beginning of the season has been eye opening to everyone at McCann Racing. As a one-car team, there are many pros and cons, but we ultimately agreed that joining forces with Kellymoss offers the best chance of success in the series. I’m very thankful to the men and women at McCann Racing for their support in this decision and am looking forward to what the future holds with Kellymoss,” said Michael.
"After a successful test with the team at Road America, it is clear that Michael is a solid fit,” added Victoria Thomas, co-owner of Kellymoss. “Culture is critical and he is exactly the type of person our team can enthusiastically rally around. That's really important when you are working hard and putting in long hours on and off the track."
McCann will race for Kellymoss in the upcoming PCCNA race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The entire Kellymoss team looks forward to the upcoming races and is confident that his contributions will enhance our performance and success in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America.
