Kellymoss, seasoned championship Porsche racing team, with the support of our generous sponsors and friends at Thu Brulé skincare, are thrilled to share that Ashley Freiberg will continue her run at the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America championship on Team Kellymoss for the remainder of the 2024 season. Freiberg has posted impressive results already this year with a recent race win at Circuit of the Americas, Austin, TX, and podiums at both Barber Motorsports Park in April and Sebring International Raceway in March. The 2023 PSCNA Champion currently sits in third place in the points standings as she strives for a repeat performance in 2024.
Freiberg recently announced publicly that she would be forced to abandon her championship fight due to her team’s unforeseen gap in sponsorship support. She has since worked hard to crowd-fund her racing via an Open Fender profile and leverage industry connections, all of which will assist in her new endeavor with Kellymoss to reach her goals. However, the intervention of Thu Brulé skincare with critical funding to complete the season made her return to the track possible. Female-owned and operated, the luxury brand founded by wellness visionary Thu Brulé saw the opportunity to support Ashley’s career and ensure a stronger foothold for women in racing, a pastime that has been meaningful to Thu and her husband David, personally and professionally.
“Seeing a talented driver like Ashley with proven results lose her ride was incredibly disheartening. We’ve been impressed with Ashley’s growth over the last few years as a driver and felt called to jump into action and tap our Kellymoss corporate relationships to help bridge her funding gap,” said Victoria Thomas, CFO and co-owner, Kellymoss. “Not only is it the right thing to do for Ashley and her program, it also further supports our Kellymoss commitment to expand and promote opportunities for women in motorsports, a key component of our Race Forward diversity-focused program.” Beyond supporting female drivers, the Race Forward program also includes educational components designed to engage youth in motorsports and develop a broader fan base for the sport from all demographics, including raising awareness and support for minorities.
Following the overwhelming support Ashley has received from her fans and the motorsports community, she shared, “I am so grateful to Victoria, the Kellymoss team and Thu Brulé skincare for stepping in and taking me one step closer to that championship this year. We’re still on a very tight budget and trying to rustle up some additional sponsorship dollars for testing, but to be able to smoothly continue my season without missing a beat is more than I could have hoped for in this circumstance.”
Freiberg will race this weekend at VIRginia International Raceway, Alton, VA, with Kellymoss and has set her sights on adding another podium performance to her record. She is also seeking to generate further sponsorship support for testing - interested donors should reach out to Kellymoss or visit her Open Fender profile for ways to help.
